Congratulations to our own AussieBob for being the topic and earning such comments.

Hi. No it is not needed here. It is simply congrats to one of our inner circle for going beyond the norm. There were too many posters with positive comments for this to be the normal "I like this company". IMHO.

I will not be insulted nor will I object if it is removed.

Also,Olternit I don't mind you posing the question. It is one way we form the nature of the forum.

Gary

Edit: Oh, and I consider everyone at hosthideout part of the inner circle.

I've had two additional thoughts.

1. If the objective here is for hosts to talk among themselves then I think my initial post in this thread is OK. In my opinion host-to-host discussions was sort of the original intent of a host hideout. (Although I don't get to say)

2. If the forum's objectives have expanded, as I suspect they have, to include the process of matching hosting consumers with providers then my post may give an economic advantage to one company. In that case it may be inappropriate (although I don't think it violates the guidelines).

I was only feeling good for someone and did not give a lot of thought to consequences. It looks like it is time for some Chicken guidance. He will have more to consider more than just the wording of the title post. He will also have to consider precedence. I am truly an innocent here but it may not be possible to detect innocence from intent and thus such comments may have to be treated as advertisement.

I dont see any problem with the post. Even if it is purely advertisement - as long as youre not "on the payroll" sort to speak, its all good in my mind...

I think I know why Olternit asked that, mostly because it's praise at another forum, but as Projo said...

That's pretty much one of the primary goals, yes.

I would love for the forum to also, "include the process of matching hosting consumers with providers" as (far as I can see it), that's a win-win situation for the hosting providers here, and for teh end users here. I believe in networking, and would be extremely pleased if I could (in any way), facilitate it. In fact, a question about that will be heading your (everyone's) way soon.

It's great that Bob has a positive thread, even if it's elsewhere. It's great reading about any host that's discussed in a positive light, whether it be on a forum, a web site, in a magazine article, etc.

That's the way I see it anyhow.

Is a Chicken bomb white on top?

Or white all over?
