How To submit to google

How do you submit your site to google other that useing adwords, I heard is free but don't know how to do it.

Also, having a signature and or posting threads *here* might do the trick as we are spidered by google (some may think too well), and I believe the spiders follow links.

Google does not take such links as valid ones. You may check this when search in Google for link:yoursite.com and see real valid links.

Actually I've found that Google (and others) do spider your site if you use links in your signature. I get tons of Search Engine traffic that way on at least one of my sites and when checking link:yoursite.com it shows those results as well.

The best thing about Google is that it finds sites itself.
You do not need to submit.

Yes you can submit to google site maps.

And yes do put lot of traffic

I'd suggest you also submit your site to dmoz.org which will in the end put you in almost all of the main search engines such as google, yahoo, etc...

Last I heard it can take years to be added, depending on which cathegory your site fits. I doubt they have a big need to add more hosts considering they already have thousands added.
