This isn't commercial or self-promotion, but I was afraid to post it in the regular forums, because the non-trusting folks would think I'm trying to sell something...

I'd really like to chat with you guys and talk about the Web hosting business, and there has been mention of an in-person "meet up". However, this is likely impractical.

What is NOT impractical is for me to pay for a telephone conference where some of us could all get together at some pre-determined day and time and have a great discussion.

If you're interested, let me know. Whether it's 2 of us or 20 of us, I'll make all the arrangements and bear the cost to set this thing up and make it happen!

Steve

I can tell you how to improve your site's effectiveness, and since I've already made my money in the biz, I do it for free. Yeah, I know, hard to believe and there must be some sort of catch, but there isn't. You can ask Vito at DemoDemo.com, he knows I like to help where I can -- even if I'm not looking to get paid.

But that's not really what this thread is about!

Do you have AIM or ICQ?

I'd be interested. Networking is always good! (Okay, about 98% of the time it's good.)

No, I don't use that stuff. But you can call me on my cell phone, I have a toll-free number for the continental US. Let me know...

Wow, you must be a philanthropist. LOL, offering to allow others to call your toll free line that costs you money to have... You are one nice guy!

Dave:

I don't know how "nice" I am. I do, however, sincerely want to help others. I owe my tremendous success to the big man upstairs, and I decided that this year is the year I'm going to start giving back. There was an important turning point in my professional life where He made things happen for me and I made him a promise -- now it's time to deliver.

He is telling the truth, everyone... he's already helped me out by doing some free flash work for me...

I love the fact that you know the big Man was there for you, and I love the fact that you are repaying Him, by helping others. I would really love to get in touch with you; perhaps by livechat on our site?

Dave:

Or you can call me toll-free, whatever works best for you. Send me a PM and we'll schedule something.

I might be interested.

I'm also in Florida -- so you have an in-state call :)

Would you be willing to do a 1 on 1 call instead of a conference call?

I'd rather have 1 person year my 3 year old scream... than 20 hear him scream (he loves to do that when I'm on the phone (he thinks everyone I talk to on the phone needs to talk to him ;) ).

If we all scream back at him, rockergrrl, what would his reaction be? :D

HostPath.com, have you ever tried a conference? I believe there's companies online that can do this pretty cheap. I'd cheap in if you were interested. And yes the big man upstairs is awesome ;)

LOL
When I do it... doesn't phase him none (drives me crazy!)...

When other ppl reprimand him... he gets all upset and embarrassed. ;) Now why can't he be like that when I reprimand him? God I'd love that! ;)

Shall we all make tapes of us screaming at him? You can have the whole sound-studio setup and play any reprimand at will...and watch the o-so-confused look on his face ;->

Or for the less complicated approach, get some sound files of movie drill seargants.

Actually, I got an e-mail from someone who will offer us a free phone conference, so there will be no cost involved if we want to so it.
