With BayStar frantically trying to pull out of the SCO deal and the Royal Bank of Canada thinking about pulling in their shares, you have to wonder, does this mean the end of SCO?

If SCO has no money to keep paying it's fancy lawyers (who should be beaten for trying to win on such a case) then it will have no legs to stand on and the battle for linux will be over. Computers geeks around the world will smile and unite as free software has stood up to the big boys (lets not forget our friend IBM, thank you big blue).

What will become of Microsoft? IBM is definantly going to want some blood after the leaked memo of microsoft telling BayStar to invest in SCO. I perdict you will see IBM, RedHat, Novell (SuSE), and others launching a huge lawsuit against gates and company that might even be able to toppled microsoft once and for all.

The battle has not yet been won but I see many penguin flags being raised in the future. Will this war be a complete turn around and will the new front be Redmond, Washington? Only time will tell.

P.S. How stupid do you think Robert Marsh feels now?

I don't think BayStar is going to get a refund anytime soon. I am sure SCO plans to fight that one in court. We all know court takes forever. While fighting in court they will be spending the money.

It's apparent someone in Baystar knows what the hell is going on and probably knew the entire time that SCO had no case. And like John said, Baystar won't get a refund anytime soon if any at all. That's the risk you make in venture capitalism.

In other news :D, Robert Marsh probably feels as much like a marshmellow as he looks.

Now that's not nice. He's big boned (actually I've never met him, but have seen pictures). The pics in Las Vegas looked totally different than the shot of him in the RS ads.

He takes a military stance but I can tell you he has never seen a day in the military. He does look like a bag

To add on to this, anyone who posts their house on their fourms does have issues.

Mark my words

Microsoft Aint Goin' Nowhere :D

I'm sure a lot of people will be pissed at them... but what's new? Everyone knows they're a monopolistic and sometimes morally-challenged company. (okay, maybe remove the "sometimes") Still, it's not going to change and they're most likely not going away for a LONG time.

I sure hope SCO does though, I would really like to see them go belly-up.

as much as i'd like to see microsoft go away i doubt they will, and no doubt sco will live to sue another day :D

As much as Microsoft has caused trouble in times, you can't deny they have furthered technology and software architecture and a vast amount of other things etcetera. Yes they are monopolistic, but they're clever in their ways ;)

I wouldn't like to see them go. However SCO - yeah they're law-happy.

On the contrary. Not only does Baystar think SCO has a case, they specifically gave them the money in order to fight the case.

They want SCO to spend less time working on their operating system and more time in court.
