I've had these files for quite some time now and I've wanted to start this initiative for some time now.

The files are for an open source control panel. I've got the basics of the features planned out as well as the interface (includes design).

The files are as follows:

www.pagesite.com/HHO/

The original PSD's are in the PSD folder, there's a folder with all the documents. The files in the base folder are the user interface including login. The reseller/client pages are in their respective folders.

It would be great if we could resume this project as a collaborative HHO open source project, what do you guys think?

I started off the project with an ASP coder as a custom Win2K panel to admin a few servers but we both gave up (only so much two people can do!) Perhaps we'll have better results as a community!

I'd be interested in helping out with the front end: text, contextual help for the end users, that sort of thing.

If this is going to be a CP for OSs other than Windows, cool. My personal love of CPanel is that it's easy to skin (so I can make the text as explanatory as I wish), and clients like easier-to-use control panels. (Think AOHell without the really really bad tech support. Or snailmail-spamming. Though I must admit, AOL CDs made for some interesting sparkly d*****tions at a dance that a friend's college club held. Most inventive use I've seen of those things. )

Lesli,

It was originally designed to be used on the Win2K Platform. We had three nice Win2k Servers with MSSQL and all the ASP goodies that needed some sort of control panel for the admins to use. However it was never completed, so I've just shared everything that I'd got done and hopefully we can generate ideas here :)

I'm not a coder, but I can help with the conceptual work for the design, it would be nice to see what skills other members had that they could bring to the table ;)

EDIT: Didn't realize I hadn't uploaded images, they're working now!

Windows only? :o

I'd possibly be able to lend a hand if it was coded in PHP, Python, or Perl....

Not for Windows Bryan :)

Open Source + Windows = Impossible

Since most of the components for hosting services on Win2k require third party software, it's best to stick with Linux.
