Hello everyone and welcome to Hosthideout.
Alpha started a post earlier this week wishing me a mistaken Happy Birthday and though it was thoughtful and jolly gee nice, he was WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY off the mark, considering my birthday is in July, which gives all of you plently of time to save up and buy me something nice.
But............
He was wrong and I said I had an important announcement to make anyways, so here it is....
My wife (mrs. iBiz) and I are starting are starting a new business that should be produced within 9 months and we wanted to share the joy with you.
We are going to have a BABY!!!
So share in our joy and if you have any questions on how this happened, I'll be glad to share the pictures until mrs. iBiz finds out about them.
Congrats, iBiz!
Is this your first?
Vito
this is our very first and it was fun and exciting to make it too :)
Heh, all I can say is load up on sleep now. Become a sleep camel and store it up. You'll need it... :D
On the flipside, your life will be full of joys that you never thought were possible. It truly is amazing to watch your kid(s) grow up. And it will go fast too. We have an 8 year old and it honestly feels like yesterday that we were changing diapers...
Make sure you have plenty of batteries/film for your camera. :)
Oh, and when your wife is calling you every name under the sun when she's in labor, don't take it personally. :D

Congrats! As I told you though... you have now given your wife reason to hate you, and she will, for the next year!
So now the questions:
What will be the name of the iBizugget?
Will you find out if it is an iBizugget or an iBizuggette?
Have you bought safety goggles for the birthing?
Have you signed up for Lamaze classes?
Do you like waking up every 2 hours?
That's all for now, I have amny more questions and am more than willing to scare you with stories of childbirth any time you'd like. No charge.

Wow, congratulations!
My son just turned one last month. I have to say this has been by far the best year of my life (and his!).
It's soooo much more than you expect. And I mean that in every possible sense.
I haven't decided if we should call him/her mini-biz, lil'ibiz or what.
What do you guys think?
plus, i already have the goggles, we will know as soon as we can the gender and i am practicing my daytime naps now.
Congrats iBiz. You and your wife have a wonderful experience ahead of you. I wish you all the happiness and joy in the world.

My McNugget is just over 14 months (close to your McNugget). Pictures! We want pictures! Well, one would do.

Congrats, iBiz and Mrs. iBiz!
In anticipation of the time you'll need it, have this prayer printed on scrolls and distributed liberally about the house:
Go to sleep
Go to sleep
Go straight to sleep
And do not wake up until at least six-thirty
Congratulations! :) I hope your wife has a wonderful, trouble free pregnancy.

Yes, I have some to share too.. Congrats again my friend... Mine is 10 going on 18 and every year is something new. We just watched an awesome football game together... He didn't care much about the game other than GO BUCKS!!! LOL
Sunday will be GO GIANTS!!!!!
Then Monday will be, DO YOUR HOMEWORK or you can not go out. Then he will mumble something under his breath.... Then I will say, WHAT?! and he will say in a very disgusted voice, Nothinggggggggg...
But there is something new to enjoy every day.......
Congrats!!! That is terrific news. I am going to pass on a piece of advice that Robert Marsh passed on to me, this will make the whole delivery process much smoother: Don't Look!
No matter what the *****s tell you, or what your wife asks you to do, do not look -- you will be happier, she will be happier and life will be grand :D.

As a selfish hedonist, I enjoy more the process (I'm talking about laboring, you know) than the end-product. ;)
Hey Congrats....
So we gonna have party at HHO...

Come on its not that bad, I was the one who caught the placenta after she delivered our last child. That was an interesting feeling to say the least.

So does that mean that you're going to give birth next?!?? Yaag...
OTOH, the skin on your hands must be so smooth and young-looking.

Actually, the placenta was kind of cool :D. I meant don't look at the baby while she/he is coming out. You don't want the first impression of your baby to be green and slimey.

I can't believe you caught the placenta. You couldn't pay me enough. Isn't that what the doctors are for? :yuck: :splat:

Congrats iBiz.
My son just turned 3 a couple of months ago and this is the best advise I can give all of which has already been said. ;)
(1) STORE SLEEP. You will need it like nothing else as babies sleep all day and keep you up ALL night. They are fun though.. ;)
(2) Get LOTS and LOTS of film and batteries for the camera. It is very important to take as many pictures as possible as you never know what they will do next. That and they grow up so fast.
(3) Store some more sleep.
(4) When your wife rips off your hand in the delivery room and says she hates you don't pay her any mind. Besides they can sow the hand back on.. ;)
(5) And in all seriousness; have fun. Babies are a blast. They are a lot of work but they are worth every moment.
My wife and I wish you the best.

It could also be a valuable mental image to use later in life. That first time that your child comes home with their everything pierced at least twice, sporting hair that's at least three colours not found in nature, and dressed like Lord Byron's fashion-challenged cousin having a depressive fit, you can look lovingly at the child, give him/her a smile and a kiss, remember the child's birth...all green and slimy...and think to yourself, "This too shall pass".
ok guys, now you are starting to scare me

Actually as long as you have a strong stomach it's not that bad just a little squishy:rolleyes:
iBiz,
Dont let us scare you, it truely is a great experience except the part where your wife will crush your hands and call you everything in the book, as mentioned above just ignore this she doesnt really mean it.
Squishy? OMG i feel sick. You choes the wrong word Brian!! lol
LOL, I'm so happy to be done in that area. Three was GREAT four would be one too many :P
CONGRATS!!!!!!
It's a darn good thing you have this baby coming too because you would be sorely disappointed in July when you realize everyone spent all of their pennies for MY b-day during that month and didn't have any left for yours. But alas, you now have a baby to worry about so there is no room for selfishness.... I'll enjoy the gifts why you worry about those French Instructions for Crib Assembly :D :p: :D

My feelings exactly. I wouldn't even cut the imbilical cord when the doctor asked me. I would always feel quilty if my son had to grow up with a 6 inch belly button.:baghead:
6 inch belly button, omg lmfao!
what a bunch of wimps ;) wont cut the cord , wont look when its happening ..geesh Imagine if woman did that the human race would stop :D
Mother of 4 here planning # 5 my advice
when labor sets in and the pain gets really bad and her head rotates all the way around and she says "You'll never touch me again" relax it passes :D

Hey, as I recall the mother was laying on her back in a bed and had a sheet covering up all the gory stuff. How hard could that be? ;)
The part about the head spinning around is true though.
Hmmmm for me with my first two it was 48 hours of head turning and then a c-section for dad to observe. With my third I decided to not put him through the headturning and we just made an appointment for the c-section..without that whole labor part.
Hello, I'm here to have my baby... and that was that ;)
With our second child my wife called the hospital to let them know we were on our way and to get an epideral ready. The lady told her she should try it without the epideral first, to do it naturally. My wife screamed back, "I can have my teeth pulled naturally but I prefer to use novacain! Get the epideral ready."
She didn't like the natural "pain" the first time.
ok, Adam found this old therad and it came back to life.
Baby update
My little Girl was born August 2nd (35 weeks pre-mature)
and weighed 4lb, 9oz
She is doing great, even though she gets cranky and of course I have not slept since.
p.s. I did cut the cord :)
Cranky? It's good to hear that she takes after her dad :) :D

I'm guessing you meant "at 35 weeks and premature" since if she was 35 weeks premature she would have been born 5 weeks after conception. Um, that's not possible...
well, she was in a hurry to get out :D
