Hello...I want to swap my CD/DVD drive with a DVD burner. I'm down to this one:

I would like your feedback on a good internal DVD burner. I'm thinking I can't go wrong with a sony. I've used a sony external CD burner for five years and it's worked great. Thanks!

Seems as your set on the Sony, but you should check out this Plextor drive too. Both seem to be very good drives but this Plextor is a bit more expensive.

I would also check out zipzoomfly.com for great prices.
I, too, have heard great things about Plextor.

I am leaning towards the Sony but I wanted to hear about your recommendations so thanks! I'll check out the plextor!
Everything sony make are very good. I suggest trying to find the lowest price on the one you saw.
I've used Plextor many times in the past an I've always like them.

Lately, Sony has been getting some very bad reviews. A friend had one that went bad and went through two more before going to a different brand. Others have reported similar issues. I'd check out tomshardware.com (http://www.tomshardware.com) and anandtech.com (http://www.anandtech.com) to see what they suggest. Also, check for reviews for any product you're ready to buy at pricegrabber.com (http://www.pricegrabber.com) as well. I personally have a Plextor CD-RW and a Plextor DVD+R/RW. Both are great. :)
