Thread Rating

Just out of curousity, what is the rating column on the thread index pages? What's it for?

Well, each thread can be rated (at the bottom right-ish), though I can honestly say that during my many years of using forums, this feature is more or less pointless and underused. Might as well kill it really... That and the New Thread button the front page. I don't think that's ever been clicked, though I might be wrong.

I think it needs a few ratings to even show up (in case you're wondering), which is probably another reason no one uses it. We'll see... I'll rate it as well.

Edit: Well, it either needs at least two ratings, or needs someone other than the thread starter to rate it. rating shows up in the rating column in forum listing, and top right-ish just above the thread when viewing the rated thread.

It's not a bad idea, certainly something interesting, just underused far as I've ever seen.
