View Full Version : Buying you all a virtual brewski...

As this is The Pub, I'd like to take this opportunity to buy everyone a round of virtual brewskis on me. Go ahead, they're virtual, so have two if you'd like, three or four even, what the heck. And the great thing is, that is you get virtually sloshed, you don't have to drive home twisted (and risk detention by the county mounties).

OT:
Got a funny story from the other day thought I'd share. I was at Walgreens a few weeks ago, and had just paid for everything was walking out, tossed the groceries into the back of my truck then got in. This older gentleman that appeared homeless came running over with a terror striken face (just appear that way anyways). He asked me for $1, and normally I do give money to homeless people as long as they spend it on food (not beer or cigs). I asked him what for, and he replied "do you want to know the honest truth?", I replied "yes please". Then he said in a "smirky voice", "me and a couple friends are going to buy a brewski and share it". Needless to say I did not give him any money.

Back on topic:
I'll take a o'douls. :D

My brother lives about an hour and ahlf away from me and we have very different interests, so we don't get together socially very often.

One night I went over there to hang out, and he took me to a bar he frequents. The bar was not the nicest of places, but it wasn't horrible. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering a glass of wine. The bartender gave me a look of contempt and asked me if I was an idiot -- my brother came up behind me and started laughing like a hiena and told me to stop joking with the bartender and get my beer.

Of course I still haven't heard the end of it, and probably never will.

So, my question to you pubmaster: Can I have a glass of wine :).

I'll gladly take a virtual brewski, with much kind thanks! (Seeing as how I can't even drink a non-alcoholic...virtual is it, for me.)

But if we're doing requests, can I have an Irish coffee? ;)

Well, I have various bottles of tequilla, some apple spiced rum that Mr. "Joe" Jbiz sent me a long time ago, a few more varieties of rum, Bailey's Irish Cream (doesn't that often go in an Irish Coffee?), Kahlúa, vodka... and some red wine! One down.

o'douls? Have to run to the store.

Don't know how to make an Irish Coffe, but if you ed-u-muh-cate me, I'll give it a go. Does it involve my espresso/cappuccino maker? I love to froth things... mmmm... frothy milk... mmmmm.

Yes, Bailey's is the secondary ingredient in Irish Cofee :):

2/3 cup Coffee
1 Measure of Irish Whiskey
1 teaspoon of raw sugar
1 heaped desertspoon of whipped cream

So it's just basically coffee (with sugar), topped with whipped cream? Pfffftttt... without the booze, it's just errrrrr... foamy coffee. Which isn't a bad thing of course. Generally anything foamy is good. Mmmmmmm foam.

*joins you for a glass of wine*

I'm not much of a beer person - depending on the place/occasion I'll either have wine or spirits (Vodka usually).

I don't drink either. Wish I could, but I go straight from sober to sick without the drunk bit in the middle.

I'll take a Red Fusion or Dr Pepper and I have room in my virtual piece-of-*cough* Blazer if it gets too crowed in Karen's virtual Ferrari. :D

56 posts buys you one of those neat little umbrellas that go in a drink, and a glass of ice. You need more than that sonny.

The virtual drinking age is quite low, but HHO does not endorse or encourage underage virtual drinking. It can lead to virtual drug use and none of us want that.

"Virtual drinking... it's more harmful than we all thought."

Yup, we wouldn't want little drunk packets getting lost in the wilderness of routers and fiber.

Sorry for digging up the dead, but I was just wondering if the brewski offer was still available.
I sure am thirsty.

Chicken

Indeed it is. We only have Coors Light left though, as no one would drink it.

Maybe I'm not so thirsty after all.

Perhaps I can use it to chase my Jameson's.
