Programming Forum

I think it would be nice to have a programming forum where users can assist each other, etc :). What does everyone else think?

Welllllllll.... I actually have a Programming Discussion forum in-between Web Design and HostHideout Pub (it is hidden at the moment), but I thought it would add to the already too many forums, and wasn't sure it would be used (plus it would stretch into territory already covered by another forum ;)).

I figured that Web Design and Programming Discussion went together, however I was thinking yesterday about the possibility of combining the Web Design and the Web Site Review Requests forums? Similar topics... Not sure about that one yet.

I've always been a bit hesitant to add more forums, however I'm especially hesitant with a new forum that probably has too many forums already, heh. Hopefully not, but I realize it is close.

I can see where you're coming from and all with the programming forum, although I would definetly use it :). Perhaps setup one category such as web hosting talk, and not a forum with individual category's for specific programming. It's just a suggestion, and I feel it would be nice to have :).

I would have to concur. It's up to you to decide how to structure the forum names, but having somewhere to ask a question on, let's say, PHP would be a great asset to HHO. I wouldn't worry too much about the fact that it would stretch into territory already covered by another forum. After all many many forums out there have a section for discussions on programming.

I'll put up a poll about combining the Web Design and the Web Site Review Requests forums and see what people think.

I suppose it is general enough that it doesn't matter and other forums will most likely expand these sections, whereas this would stay one forum only.
