I'm looking to switch from a shared hosting plan to a VPS one. Of the following providers, can anyone tell me their personal experiences as to who I should or should not use.
VPS Web Hosts:
ecinfoweb.com
hostdepartment.com
jvds.com
server4you.com
dinix.com
adiungo.com
westhost.com
Thanks,

I'd talk to Rus with JVDS.com.
I assume you are wanting to use cPanel (its common, if not ignore me) and he uses software that doesn't conflict with cPanel when creating the virtual environment.
They get my stamp of approval. :dchick:

yeah.. I just moved over to vpscolo.com (also run by rus from jvds.com, but vpscolo is directed more at people who wish to use cpanel as the primary way of management). server was up and running within 3 hours of signing up, they are always there to help you, and the servers appear to be very nice.
I don't think they are taking anymore orders offically yet. But if you email them, maybe they have one available. Good look

So JVDS and VPSColo are good, but what about the others. I'm especially looking to find out about ecinfoweb.com, adiungo.com
and westhost.com, because their packages seem pretty jam-packed with great features for a low price. Anyone had any experiences with them?
Thanks for the replies by the way. I really appreciate the input!

I had a dedicated server with Dinix and i have to tell you it was awesome. I have seen mixed reviews about their VPS solution but I have heard they have fixed issues with it.
We are also working with vpscenter and rackforce they both are good
Have you picked one yet. I am in the search for another host. I was with server4you the last 8 months, then they crashed, lost all my files, databases and settings...took them three weeks to get my ftp partially working, still doesnt work correctly...Their system was awesome and easy to use, I loved them and thought I was done jumping from host to host...guess I was wrong...I am looking for Multiple Domain handling from one account (5 to 10), PHP, SQL, phpMyAdmin, OpenWebMail or Horde, easy to use CP, and any extras. Dont want to spend more then $10 a month at the moment...anyone have suggestions other then the previous.
I will suggest you to take some resellers account and in that case the hosting company will take care of all technical aspects
