OK, so I'm trying to add another style to the forum, which could be accessed via another domain (direct link in other words). I'm nt sure if anyone noticed, but some of my attempts seemed to result in the whole board going to style #2, which was really annoying me. I think we've finally got it covered so that when you go to: http://www.hosthideout.com you get the HHO style.

Now, if you go to http://www.hosthideout.com/index.php?s=&styleid=8 you should get style #2 (vbulletin regular look). Now, the issue is that once you go to this style, if you click *anything* it reverts back to HHO style, which isn't what I'd like it to do. Anyone know how to get this to work? It should stay on the style.

and me. that nice purple follows me around the site, despite my attempts to distract it with cookies. :D

However, both styles are unselectable in the control panel. So for now click now these links:

Original HostHideout:
http://www.hosthideout.com/index.php?styleid=1

New Purple vBulletin Hosthideout:
http://www.hosthideout.com/index.php?styleid=8

Hope that works ;)

Works here as well :)

Yeah, someone told me that it worked for them too. It's just me??? Bleh, well.. at least that's why I was going crazy! OK, I'll ignore the fact that it doesn't work for me...

Question two:

What do you think the best way is to get that style to load (hidden like) from a different domain? Say I wanted to direct http://www.hosthideouttwo.com to that style. I don't want to frame or redirect the domain, so that in the end it is just covered up by a frame or the address changes to http://www.hosthideout.com/index.php?styleid=8

Always glad to help.

Chicken - I believe there is no need for a second domain, if people just want the "other" style then they can do so within their control panel ;)

Well, there's no need per se, but it is for a second domain. This will be for findspforums in the very near future.

And I thought no one noticed - thanks Chicken...

Anyways folks - that's right we'll be redirecting all our forum users to this forum via FindSPForums.com which should be active within a few days... so thank you for this wonderful forum keep up the good work and let's hope that together we can become as big as WHT or SPF :)

theres a new business idea, rebrand your own forums (or the style at any rate ) and target any many audiences :)

If this one works, we'll see how interested others might be. Was what I was going to do with the chat (many moons ago).

Welcome to the HostHideout.com

it seems to be totally branded appart from that little bit :D

good job mr chicken.

Yeah, there are a couple of places where the forum is named, and a couple of forums with HHO in the description, but this is still HHO, and as such, HostHideout will be mentioned many times in many threads, so trying to cover it up and completely hide things would probably be just utterly confusing. I also like the cobrand, but do not want people to post suggestions about cobranded sites (ie: you should change the main page of findsp! -heh). That would just make *everyone* confused!

Actually I thnk it would be better if you could link findspforums.com to the cobranded version - makes more sence this way.
