I also noticed that GoDaddy made a large contribution to them. I signed the petition, and I also made a link to it on my website.

14,678 people have signed it so far. Including me! Go Daddy has a prominent link to this site so I'm sure they're getting a lot of exposure for their cause.
Signed! :D It would be a good idea for us all to file a class-action law suit again Verisign for trying to monopolize the industry. I know its a bit more involved then that, but just a suggestion to ponder on.

Might be a good place to start. There might already be a class action law suit against them. I know there are several suits over the redirection stunt Verisign pulled. I think Verisign is having enough suits that another one isn't necessay. The big guns like Go Daddy will go after them and they can go at for years and years. In the end only the lawyers win.

Alas, this is true.

Seems like this site is popular. I've been unable to reach it the last hour. (I checked and it wasn't on /. yet...)

It's up now...4:09 PM CST.
hmmm - can access now - but can't fill it in without a cookie. They've got an awful access code scheme that requires maintaining a session rather than the (preferred) method of adding a hash in a hidden field... :(
