Well that just doesn't sound good.. -_-;; Anyone else ever use this host?
Well, I knew some people who did, and they posted it on a forum. I'm looking for the thread now.

Guess it's time to look for a new host. I hate when that happens but it's never good when your host doesn't want to talk to you.
Here's one of what i was talking about

He hangs out around here alot.

My Dad will be pissed if I switch servers again, So I'm pretty much screwed unless I can do it through mail order behind his back.

I take it you've been using his credit card. Can't you cancel the service. How long have you been with MecSysInc?

I could cancel, and I plan to once I find another host. He's sick of helping me sign up for new hosts, and buying domains etc.
I run a popular Shaman King site, and I need to find a server before canceling. Also, at the begining, My Dad thought this was a scam, So if I tell him, I'll forever be untrusted to make host desicisions, and probably never be able to switch from another host until I'm 20.. lol
LOL, may I ask how your dad knew it was a scam?
Also, I may be able to help you.

Well, We had to re-register on PayPal for the monthly payments, and the email that was on the payment form was HoppyNine@hotmail.com, He thought this was fishy, But then we both talked to him on AIM and gave us an explaination for it, Probably faulty, As I'm finding out.

In addition to being banned here (as well as at least one other web hosting forum) and having two arguments with other members over trivial matters, a user reported that the owner, "[signed] up on our forum and send over 100 spam PMs to my members. That was a couple of months ago. Turned out he was a 14yr old kid." That was their report anyhow.
Maybe it's him...

I am hosted with him now and I switch to my own server.... His support is not all that good, as he gets a little attitude whenever you ask him a question...

Well MecSysInc.com is not registered anymore... http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=mecsysinc.com
And he's not answering my AIM Messages to cancel.. THis is very bad. Can anyone else get ahold of him over AIM? ( His SN is mecsysinc )
You have to use this one

I agree. dnsstuff.com is nice but they seem to be outdated at times. My site is listed as not being found (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=userintervention.com) although I've had it since December. :uhh:

Someone told me that he has quit the company or sold it. I still need to cancel my account. :|
Well, if you are being billed by Paypal, you can just leave the subscription.

Even if it's by credit card, you can tell the credit card company to reject any further billing attempts.

It's through PayPal. I'm not sure of how to cancel a subscription in PayPal, Can someone tell me?

(I just tried to post and was kicked off the server)
I know this person. I know where he lives. He is 15 by now. Proceed with caution.

I'm not for sure, but, login to your account, it has to be there somewhere.
But, it's been sold
Clients of MecSysInc should email support@wojjie.net
So you might wanna email them.

Yep, this same kid signed up on the HTTPme forum many months ago, and PM spammed about 90 HTTPme members. I then confronted him and he begged me not to proceed with any action, because he was just a kid trying to pay for his server.

This kid is banned on just about every forum because he decides to either get mouthy and start whining or he decides to spam and PM all members about his "hosting" server. Seems his company is now closed down, too.

Good. :)
Hi,
I just came across this thread after getting an email from one of his former clients. None of them seem to be happy, and a huge percentage have left either because of past experiences, or because they were no longer able to get the same cheap hosting packages.
I just wanted to post to say that you are not alone, it seems like a lot of people have had problems.
From my recollection, the former owner was suppose to cancel all subscriptions and payments. So most likely, the subscription has already been canceled.
Last note: Aussie Bob, you rule! :) I think a lot of hosting companies aim to be as successful as HTTPme.
