Hi, I have another dumb question, whats the difference between a Linux server and a Unix one?
I'm asking because I'm planning on getting a dedicated Linux server, but I've found some scripts that I would like to buy. But they say they require Unix.
Most of the time when a script says it requires UNIX it also means Linux. Linux is a UNIX variant, as are *BSD, Solaris, AIX and others.
Unix was the real stuff.. Linux is sort of an easier version of Unix.

More than you probably wanted to know: http://www.computerhope.com/history/unix.htm
Clicking on either the Linux or Unix links (in above link) will give you more info on either.
There's also a short Linux vs. UNIX (http://www.computerhope.com/unix/linux.htm) <<< here.
