you know I was woundering how meny web hosts are out there and im talking everything from the small time resellers to the big time own there DC/noc do web ap hosting colo the hole nine yards.

Does this include "companies" that aren't actually registered in any way? Either way I have no idea, but if someone else here does they should take that into consideration. Btw, when I saw this poll's topic, I thought it was going to be "How many hosts have you used?"

I personally think there's beyond 4001. This is if you count all the ISP's out there that also do hosting (9/10 local ISP's do it).

I'm sure there are many more than 4,000 (my vote, 4,000+), though not sure on the exact number of "from the small time resellers to the big time own there DC/noc" there would be exactly.

there is one thing you got ot remember with google tho it counts any phrase with web host in it so someone on a site could say web host or webhosting and it might show up under there in a month or two.
