There are a lot of companies out there in pretty much the same boat - companies who want to grow or want to take their business to the next level but don't know how. Companies frequently have problems setting goals, eliminating inefficiency, developing sales processes, implementing marketing processes, defining management objectives, or have problems with skills gaps.

What I do is work with you developing your business processes and objectives and helps you come up with your own solutions. I don't want to tell you what to do - I want to help you develop your own unique solutions to your own unique problems.

A coach is someone who can give you an impartial opinion and work with you on ways to move your business forward. I can be your sounding board and your advisor. Because I've been in the webhosting industry, I can understand what is going on and work with you on your problems.

I'm trying to stay away from the term 'consultant' because that's really not what I'm trying to do. I will do consulting work - I've recently completed a business valuation for customers and am doing business plan research - but what I really want to do is empower you to find ways to succeed on your own.

So, what will it cost? I'm more than happy to work with you on the cost. Different companies have different needs so to quote a blanket price would just miss the target altogether. Feel free to send an email (webhostingcoach@shaw.ca) or a PM, or to contact me over AIM (davinoverland) or ICQ (150018103). If you have questions, please feel free to direct them to me over any of the above methods.

Also, I seem to have a case of 'keyboard dyslexia'. If a mod could change my username to the proper thing (WH-Coach) I'd much appreciate it :-D

First, I want to post the dancing banana

Did I mention my name? I don't think so. Davin Overland.

Now that I have that and the dancing banana out of my system...

I have a B.Sc. degree from Augustuana University College in Camrose, Alberta, Canada and am diligently working on my B.Comm. Having said that, I HAVE been out of university for a few years.

I was the senior software development manager for a software firm where I was responsible for leading and managing product development, leading product support, customer relationship management and a whole raft of other things. After working with customers to develop a niche-component to our software, sales rose by around 15% and held - which was a very nice touch. We went through it all - M&A, VC, investors, restructuring, and several turns of management requirements. My ability to affect change here was the greatest of all my positions and I know that I had a very positive effect.

From there I went to MCHost where I was a support rep for a while and really established my contact base. I learned a great deal about the workings of a webhosting reseller and what their customers do on a day-to-day basis. After talking with them I realized that the principlals I developed as senior management translated well into the webhosting market.

After a brief stint at Voxtreme (to whom I am eternally grateful) I went to work as a marketing manager for a publicly traded .com..legalopinion/legalcare. There I helped to begin the process of customer retention after a couple of very unfortuante instances.

From there I came to work at Rackforce where I round out my webhosting experience. The last stop in any good parade route is the datacenter. I'm working here at the most fundamental levels of the webhosting industry - the blue wire that connects your computer to the world. When you're staring at the back of a rack you can't help but think, "if I yank this cable or screw up, somebody's company goes down the tubes...I can't have that happen"...Anyway, I'm working as network engineering/software systems integration.

So, I've been around the block. If you have more questions, please feel free to ask. I'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks, I may be in contact with you ;)

PS- When I was staring at the racks I always thought "heheh what if I just pulled this routers power:fork: :yikes:
