Hello.
Is anyone actively marketing Off Site backup solutions?
Does anyone know of any schedulers or FTP programs with scheduling that could be used for such a setup.
Any info on this topic would be appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

I actually just set a cron job that runs executes a PHP file.

I was really talking about a off site backup service for clients.
Something with a scheduler and will compress the files and ftp them over for off site storage online.

If you have Cpanel it is automatic. What control panel are you using?
I'd just run a cron job that runs a bash file. If your looking for backup space I'd go ahead and check out http://www.fxpbackup.com/

We're actually starting to get into offsite backup NOT connected to the internet. We're finding that some companies actually want a private line directly from their offices to ours, for the purpose of secure offsite backup.

No, actually a private network. Nothing virtual about it.
Hostall,
I have a huge background in this area and we are doing it now for other clients, such as Tina is doing.
What do you need to know? Things that are important to ask are at what level are the backups being performed? File or block level. Another is what is the recovery time for a complete bare metal crash?
Some people and companies would have you install the os, the apps ect and then the data from the backup. A true back up should do them all.
