Greetings,
My name is Tom Whiting, and I've been involved with Linux systems for over 7 years.As the subject says, I'm opening up my doors to a limited number of new (monthly) clients. Services provided include:
Service Monitoring
All services are monitored remotely from 2 seperate locations,from apache to mysql to ftp to other services (any port can be monitored).
Server Security
Various security checks are made at various intervals on all managed servers, from rpm checks to root checks to system scans to log scans
System Administration
This is a big one. Services are offered as a skilled Linux systems administrator to troubleshoot and assist troubleshooting of major (and minor) system problems, investigate mail spam, cc fraud and more.
System Tuning
Various checks and recommendations are made based on log outputs, system load and client usage. Many clients have found this data useful in determining where their system resources are going, how they're being used, etc.
Monthly Security Audit
Every month, a scan is placed against your server to verify that things are indeed not vulnerable to attack, in addition to the regular daily, hourly, frequent logchecks and misc other scans.
Firewall Installation And Maintainance
Currently, I maintain an advanced version of APF, in order to link network firewalls together and provide more adept security.
Hourly or per incident responses are more than accepted as well. In these cases, billing is not done until after the work is done in order to ensure complete and total customer approval.
