Occasionally (not every time it checks my mail), I get a pop-up prompting for my Network password. It's not the same POP email account each time, either. I've checked and double-checked my settings. Any ideas?

Just out of curiosity, do you have it set that your external server requires authenication? If you do, you should be able to check the box that tells outlook to use the same password as your incoming mail server. Outlook actually sends before it receives, so this may be the issue.

I don't have that box checked. Should I? I appear to be able to send and receive mail OK, but that box popping up is annoying.

Yep, if you check the box and check the box to use the same as your outgoing server, it should stop popping up for you.

Let me give it a try. Thanks.

It's still happening. :(

You'll need to go through and do that for all of your accounts. Did you do that?

Yes, I did.

Something similar happens to me when my ISP or my site's host has a problem. Does Outlook's "Test Account Settings" show any problem?

No, it doesn't show any problems.

I wish I had more info for you...I'll keep looking around.

Well, it's an annoyance, as opposed to a "real" problem, so maybe I'll just learn to live with it.

This may sound a bit stupid, but why don't you try asking around other forums or even email microsoft office support. You might have already tried the other forums around though.

I have asked around some other forums. I'll probably call my ISP tonight and check to see if there are any Office updates from the MS site.
