Hi,

Does anyone know where i can find a script where customers can type in their user name and email address if they have lost their password?

I can't imagine that it happens so often that you'd want to automate that. I get requests for that, but I just reset it and send them a new one.

there is no way to see "current" password. So you'd need to write a script that would perform the same steps as "resetting" the password option.

Not sure how secured it would be.. or valuable.

Hi,

C-panel creates a user for each account. Since the user names in GNU/Linux is stored in /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow using a one way algorithm (means during authentication the encrypted passwords are compared) the retrieval is not possible. The only way is to reset the password.
