This is an Ebay auction for a Brand New - sealed in the box JVC HC-E100 Pocket Email Device. This is great for those that have bad credit, and can't get service for a PDA connection. Like a PDA, but with less features, but email capibility.

I also have another one that is available as well (not Ebay worthy IMHO). Never been activated -- but has been opened before -- and my dearest 3 year old son decided to tear open the box (when it was sitting on my desk last week)...

The box was originally opened by me almost 2 years ago, and I decided not to buy the service. So its never been activated, or used. Manual is still in good condition. The only thing that is missing is the 2 AA batteries that were in the box.

I'm willing to sell the "Half killed" one for less than the new-sealed-unopened one.

Bids on the "half killed" one are welcome. :)

Nope, doesn't have to be plugging into the phone.

You actually call the 800 number, put the phone up to the receiver, and then press the send/receive button. That's how your emails get sent/received into the device.

It can be used on regular phones, pay phones, and most cell phones.

I uploaded the instructions that are posted from the PocketMail.com website.

Really its not all that bad. Pretty cool actually.

Oh and one more question. Does it just work for like pocketmail accoutns or can I access my regular mail account?

Had to look in the manual to answer your question about other email accounts.

In order to access other email accounts, you would have to forward them to your pocketmail email address. They don't have a POP get or anything on it (they might for the newer models, not sure).

Also, I looked up cell phone capabilities in what it works with. It only works for analog cell phones (or digitals that you can switch to analog). So no digital or PCS phones, unfortunately. :\

I'm willing to do $10-15 on the opened one -- since its pretty much new - just killed (grrr... kids!).

eBay Item is SOLD

But I still have the other one, if anyone is interested. Its perfectly fine, other than the box, and the missing AA batteries. I'll even go and get some Energizers to put in it so you can fire it up right away - if someone wants to get this from me. Its just collecting dust here, and taking up desk space :)
