I know of PHPmanager, ClientExec, ModernBill and PerlBill, anyone using these? What are your thoughts, I know this has been asked before, that's why I would like to add are there any other billing scripts?
Thanks

When I first started out, I didnt know of those. I ended up programming my own which so sucks compared to MonderBill, but it was similar to the others. If I had the chance to go back, I would have used ModernBill. It's current realease is soooo nice, makes me want to start up a hosting business just to use the software. :c)

I dont' want to beat a dead horse... but modernbill has made things so incredibly easy and saves hours worth of work everyday. The ONLY thing I wish they would do is find a way to export invoices to quickbooks or quicken for internal book keeping. Since we have our own invoicing system and print out invoices outside of MB, that is the only thing left to be done by hand.
Otherwise, a customer signs up. CC is processed, and accepted or declines. We get the order, verify the IP matches and any other manual fraud checks. Hit a button to activate the client, hit another button to automatically create their account on the server and send out welcome email.. and that's it :) And recurring billing is just great, it generates and processes a batch every night, sends a copy of the report via email to me, and automatically bills the clients and sends them emails.
Lets me sleep a lot more at night, that is for sure ;)

Amazingly enough, I've used ALL four!
ClientExec
Unfortunately domain is NOT transferable, so when you are purchasing this license make sure you select the permanent domain you want! This script has many features similar to ModernBill, but not as great. ClientExec people actually listen to your suggestions!
PHPmanager
Would NOT recommend. The callhome featuer phpManager uses it absolutely insane, especially during their downtime!
PerlBill
Their software is great, very smooth and clean. Unfortunately this billing solution isn't automated (last time I checked).
ModernBill
Great billing solution! This is what we are currently using as our BILLING solution. For AUTOMATOn I recommend ManagerInABox.com
:)

That is and is not true. As you said, they listen. I believe that they will transfer the domain of your licence upon request. Of course if you are doing it weekly they will catch on.:p:

I use ModernBill.
I used ClientExec briefly during Alpha testing, but I couldn't wait for the final release any longer which is what led me to get ModernBill.
I bought phpManager - used it for a day and deleted it.
All in all, ModernBill is the best I've used (although ClientExec was also very good - it's a pity their release kept getting delayed; but we simply couldn't keep processing everyone manually in our accounting software).

Check this one.

Those of you who keep badgering PHPManager, I don't use it, but according to them.
The new Config only calls home ONCE upon validation, it does not call home continuously anymore. A friend of mine uses it, and it works JUST fine even DURING their DOWNTIMES. :)
Modernbill has my vote, even if it is graphic intensive, the features are more than beneficial.

I personally use ModernBill and love everything but the skins about it :)
I tried MB demo, was overwhelmed and bought phpMan.
That was deleted as soon as my orders forms went down due to thier site being down :(
I then tried NiXt.. excellent little FREE script, IF you know how to code php and know how whm/cpanel inards work. I did not :( but I did get it working perfectly fine!!
I was unsure of it's security and lack the knowledge to secure it, so I dropped that too.
Bought MB as it did everything I needed and more!!!
MB dev team DO listen and will add requests/suggestions!!
Jon an Micheal are great and will work w the most newbie of questions until you understand 100%!!!!
Same boat... I started looking, liked what I saw of phpMan, ended up being disgusted at support/script shortfalls... made a simple custom script (which didn't do much at all really), installed NiXT, was quite happy until it broke for no apparent reason... installed MB demo (for the 4th time) then bit the ****** and purchased! I'd tried the CE demo... too many features weren't in production yet (when I needed them) so I couldn't wait.
*inhale*
MB's the only script I've actually been satisfied with - I can actually be away from my computer without stressing about something breaking :D
What Esr Tek said is true... the support there is top notch.

Modernbill was like a differnent language to me. When I installed it and logged in the first time I was like "O My" lots to do here! But when I started playing around in the dashboard I was amazed at how well everything is to understand. It's like riding a bike! Once you learn the tools, You never forget!
My vote is for modernbill - It automates everything for me. I even fired my accountant! Why need one? I hired modernbill..) and she never talks back niether..:)
