was just checking top to see what was causing my high server load.. and found this:

it's constantly changing but always stays above 5%.

PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
18480 mysql 17 10 11668 4700 1616 R N 22.3 0.4 0:05 mysqld
18482 mysql 17 10 11668 4700 1616 R N 22.3 0.4 0:05 mysqld

the mysql logs in /var/logs are....empty.

any ideas?

I'm running Ensim 3.1.3.

thanks.. let me know if you need more details and i'll post.

Have you tried to optomize your mysql db's? That includes adding indexes and such.

Yes. It sounds like some indexing is needed. You may also want to up the key and sort buffers.
