That quick reply box is driving me NUTS!
That's the third time I've written out a nice long reply, click on Post and BOOM, I get taken to a login page..... I login then it says it can't find the thread, I go back and the post is GONE.
Please take Quick Reply out of sight when you're NOT logged in!
You need to modify some of your vB code for that, shouldn't be to hard I think.
I'm sure this has happened to others around, simple change that would make me a happy HHO user again :D
Thanks!

I'll see what I can do about that. It needs a trigger to display it only when the user is logged in. Currently it is just there and you can type in it, but unfortunately won't find out that you're not logged in until after you click reply. Hmmm... or maybe a warning when you load the forum index at least (saying you're not logged in).
I'm almost positive there's a mod that does it, similar to what changes the "login" link to "logout". I slapped one together on my old phpbb board, I don't have access to a vbulletin though.

I'm more concerned with losing my posts to the 60-second-limit

Yep there is...

This hack will add a quick replying box at the bottom of all threads, only if the user has permission to reply, so when you need to reply to something real quickly you don't need to click the Post Reply button and wait for the page to load.
There's another hack (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29829) that displays the quick reply box for ALL users. This is probably what this board has installed.

Actually, the one I use isn't either of those, but it seems the first one will satisfy Towerhost's request, so I'll replace the current one with that one when I have a spare minute.

Not sure I understand this one. What is the 60 second limit and how does it make you lose your post? If I can modify something to help here, I will.

60 second limit = you can only post once a minute.
Sometimes (ok, a lot of times) I try to post somethin and it gives me that message... when I hit the back button, my post disappears.

Ahhh, that's a flood control. Well, I'm not certain it is wise to reduce that too much. Would 50 seconds help?
