Streaming Live Video

Hey guys,
How would I go about streaming select live video feeds from a lock television station? They want to streat a select few of their shows on their website. How would I go about doing this, what type of server/bandwidth would you guys reccommend? Any help is much appreciated!

Considering many people would watch, and the image type would be high res i recommend a connection higher than
10mb (upload) bandwidth would be a fair amount, i would think say maybe 10viewers would produce 120gb a month, so if its a big hit, i recommend you DO NOT USE a hosting account from another, a tv station of a large amount would require its own connection for this kind traffic, dont kick yourself it will be cheap it wont, i prepose you record it then put streaming of low res, once a month, to keep your site up, hope this helped, if i talked utter bull then ignore this, but i wouldnt bother with such streaming!

you could allways try an adult host as these companies have very high packages for bandwidth, but they charge!

There is a huge number of things to think about. Let me know if you need help in figuring out what you need to accomplish this. I designed a streaming system for a client that moves 12Tb a month in streaming video. Granted he is paying a huge amount for the bandwidth.

Some of the factors are how is is encoded, what bit rate, what bit rate is audio going to be at. Will you or they offer different stream rates based on connection? how many concurrent users do they estimate that they will have at one time, max. ect.
