How much e-mail do you send per day?

Okay, I came across an article on CNN and it got me to thinking. How many e-mail messages do you send per day? I myself can send anywhere from just a few to 30 or so, it all depends on what just broke.

The reason for this poll? Microsoft is limiting the number of messages Hotmail users can send per day to 100. They hope this will limit the amount of spam that is sent via their servers and I do believe it will help.

I get a hundred emails a day on average (both personal and work-related) and reply to about half that number.

Hmmm, somewhere between 10-50 I'd say. Hotmail should limit it to 10/day, and have addl. as a paid feature. 100/day still is 100 too many spam emails :( -but I suppose it is better.

I send out about 5 to 10 emails per day. Get about 40 or more. But I also don't run a business.

Generally I get 100-120 per day, thats not counting support tickets either...

But I suppose I reply to about 75% of them.

I own 3 companies so I receive about 500/day. I only send out about 30 to 50/day. I use Mail Washer to help me read mail. It is a shareware program that does a good job for my needs.

Good point. I use a freeware program called ePrompter so I can read the e-mail I receive before I download it to my box. This helps to eliminate spam and virus issues before they touch my machine. I'll have to check out Mail Washer as well. Anyone else use some sort of shareware/freeware program that allows you to view e-mail prior to downloading it?

I recieve around 250 emails per day and respond to about 90% of them. I run a high traffic web site with over 10000 users, have to keep them all happy so money continues to come in.

All of the members of our main site forum. Now and then we send out announcments and stuff.

you don't know what your missing out on.. i get all those.. plus about 100 of them (per day) that aren't even in english. So i dont know what the heck they are trying to sell me.

I wonder if there will ever be a way to stop spam.

I only send about 10 emails a day.
