Just wondered what your guy's favorite web script or compiled languages were. I'm a big fan of PHP, Java (not jsp though), and assembler.
Mine is Perl for scripting, have many hundreds of thousands of lines of code I have written for our servers over the last 8 years. Back before my web programming days C was my favorite language, but I find Perl much better and easier to use for cgi scripting.

For web it's PHP... however C is still (arguably) the most powerful compiled language available. I'm sure now some FORTRAN or Delphi monger is gunna come yell at me :).
PHP for the web, never learned Perl. Always seems as if people are either Perl or PHP, not both.
Java for non web.

PHP for the web
Perl for the shell
C/C++ for applications.

I personally hate RAD (VB, and DELPHI). It's for sissy programmers. And I do agree C is the most powerful compiled language.
