I think the penalties should be greater. When you do something that affects many people's lives and businesses, you should be locked away in a tiny box for a long, long time. It is sometimes the virtual equivalent of attempting to physically destroy computers. They suck...

In almost all cases, virus writers were computer-obsessed males between the ages of 14 to 34 years, he said.

"They have a chronic lack of girlfriends, are usually socially inadequate and are drawn compulsively to write self-replicating codes. It's a form of digital graffiti to them," Hruska said.
That does appear strikingly familiar :D

Year, 2 years jail is certainly inadequate for all the damage that has been caused :mad:
