Here's my situation. I own and operate Brickfilms.com, which is a fairly popular site where people get together who make stop motion movies using Lego and similar toys. The site uses around 25GB a month, mostly forum traffic. I have a 60GB a month reselling account at hostforweb.com that I'm very happy with, and by selling hosting to many of Brickfilms' members I am able to pay for the hosting account plus host some of my other personal domains.

The big problem is the place where most people host their movies, brickshelf.com, recently stopped allowing movie files to be downloaded. It was an amazing free service, but I knew it wouldn't last forever. Since people are no longer to upload and share their movies, the community is suffering and I need to find a solution soon.

I need to find a way for people to host their movie files, which I know will use an enormous amount of transfer. Although I don't know for sure, my estimates are somewhere in the 1000GB a month range. There are members willing to help me pay for it, but there are also a lot of members who can't, mostly because they're young. So what I need is an economical way to get a lot of monthly transfer. That means I'm willing to settle for lower quality or capped transfer speeds or what have you.

Any suggestions? What's the best way to get a ton of transfer while going cheap on everything else?

In this situation I would suggest a dedicated server and a burstable bandwidth solution. Start off small and see how it goes then work with the provider to meet your bandwidth needs.

Have the server fully managed with a control panel on it for your own use for setting up domains ect.

I can supply all of this for you, and so can others. You will get a bunch of offers but what you have to remember is hardware is hardware. What you have to hink about is the people that stand behind your hardware and the solution thay are providing you.

Myself and the other founder of the company each have over 15+ years in the technology services industry. What does this mean to you? That the people on the other end know what they are doing. This doenst mean that others that have been alive for that length of time dont, we have just had the industry experience that you should be looking for for your forum clients and those that are willing to host with you.

What is your site worth to you? and are you potentialy willing to sacrafice it?

Contact me at my office and I can assist you. If it isnt with a solution that I can provide I will steer you to those that can.
