Everything seemed like it was coming along nicely.

Business paperwork is in order, and back from the state...

I spent the time researching options

*should I become a resller, should I go dedicated, should I colo*

- I bought the server...guess I'm going colo.

More time researching....

*Let's see...control panels we've got WHM/Cpanel, Plesk, Ensim, DirectAdmin, and the list goes on"

- DirectAdmin looks like a good choice

"Now...billing aps... hmmmm, Modernbill, Clientexec, Servnetix, Whoiscart"

-I'm thinking Modernbill

*Do I have enough cash to start*
Yep, doing good so far

*Market.....is there a market....?*

-I believe there is, or why would I be spending all this money...

Now the thing that I least expected has come to bite me. . . . What OS? At the rate I'm going I've got enough startup capital to get the server set and get into a 6-12 month colo contract at my Datacenter of choice. But it seems like I'm at a standstill. I need to just buy the panels, and billing ap, and etc and go...but why havn't I? I guess I'm somewhat worried about my OS of choice. I really like and am comfortable with RedHat (yes, I'm a relatively newbie when it comes to linux, but been administering Windows boxes for years so I'm aware of what goes into it)

hmmmphh...I need help getting over this hump.

:(

Well... as you know Redhat no longer provides free upgrades. So you can either go with their "Fedora Project" and hope it goes well or you can get freebsd 5.1 and enjoy the good life.

I use FreeBSD.. and I'd recommend it.

That is what I'm leaning towards right now. Looks like 4.9 the latest stable?
