i am basically looking into companies that would lease/finance rackmount servers to us. while paying upfront was sustainable when we offered dedicated servers to existing resellers, it is now no longer an option.

i know dell offers financing on their hardware, but it is too expensive (most of the time, unless you catch a crazy deal on their site) and my conversation with them did not lead to anything positive.

are there cheaper rackmount manufacturers that do financing? are there vendor-neutral lease companies? have you used/can you recommend any?

Take a look to http://qsol.com/ I'm sure that they offer lease for rackmount servers, I'm not sure, but I think that http://interpromicro.com/ does it too.

qsol uses outside companies for leases. i have done business with interpromicro previously, perhaps i should give them a call and inquire =]

Yes, you're right, about Qsol, I can't remember where I read that Interpromicro does it, I think that was in WHT, but to be honest, I'm not sure about it.
