Because of our backup transit and the many international peers, our network maintains the shortest routes for sending your data all over the world. On an ongoing basis, we are negotiating with the top fiber carriers for new routes, additional backup transit providers, and we are signing on new peering relationships.
Hurricane Electric's switched network utilizes the Border Gateway Protocol Version 4 (BGP4) over Cisco 12000 series GSR routers. We always update the router's IOS after we have stress tested the latest IOS on a non-critical router, to make sure it is very stable. The switch that your equipment will ultimately be connected to is connected back to a core router via fiber.
Because of the quality of our bandwidth and colocation services companies including: BMW (the car manufacturer), Baskin Robbins (the ice cream company), Charge.com (one of the largest online credit card charging companies), Intershop (shopping cart software), ShopFactory (shopping cart software company), the largest manufacturer of PCs and printers in the world colocates with HE, lots of banks, lots of ISPs all rely on Hurricane Electric Colocation Facilities to host their sites.
We get all customer setup within 24 hours of completion of paperwork and payment is received. (Note: Because we offer such *low* prices, we do not offer any guarantees to the "24 hour turn around" Fast Colocation makes every effort to allow customers access within 24 hours after payment, contract etc are signed and fees are paid.

What's the difference between me going with you, and going directly with Hurricane Electric?
Absolutely positively nothing!....well there is one thing...Price! If you are a new comer to collocation, or you require a small amount of bandwidth (say 1....5....10 mpbs..) we can give you a cheaper, more affordable price! Its that simple, same great services, just lower prices. We can also provide you bandwidth via cross connect if you are an existing customer located in the Fremont Data Center!
Note: We provide only 1 port off our switch per customer, if you signup more then 1 server, its recommended to provide your own switch. We offer additional ports at $25.00 monthly fee per port if you are unable to provide your own switch.
