Greetings all,
Currently in the market to buy a hosting business:
Criteria would be:
- annual gross revenues between $50,000 - $150,000
- mainstream control panel (cpanel or plesk ideally)
- virtual hosting or VPS clients (no dedicated)
- unix-based (no windows)
- majority of clients have been with you for at least a year
I started and managed a hosting company for over twelve years until selling to a larger brand. Looking to get back into the market.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but how many clients would you be looking at supporting from this company?

The number of clients will depend on the business model of the host in question. I am not sure I follow what you're asking.

I was asking to make sure you would be able to support a large client base. If your just a 1 man show and trying to support a million clients it would be difficult.
What is your budget to purchase the hosting company?

I'd recommend you to buy time-tested and trusted company (at least 5 years in the hosting industry).
Besides, you should find all possible signs of reliability.

You might want to check out the following site and don't mind the typing since I can't post URLS yet since I don't have 10 posts but they have a pretty good reputation for providing reliable sources to acquire existing companies: www dot mergernetwork dot com/index/web-site-development-and-hosting-businesses-for-sale/
Since you've been in the business I take it you already know that you should request for balance sheets, financial statements etc vs revenue statements generated in a billing system such as WHMCS, ModernBill etc...good luck on your venture and let us know how it comes along.
you think with that earnings one company wants to get selled?
