I recently started a hosting company.
I have a few questions .
How to about getting 1 customer? or better yet first customer?
I have searched th ethreads here even the promotions section and learned the tips and tricks on advertising.
What is the best way to get my first client?
I have thought of teaming up with web designers in my area to get it going
Also I was thinking of maybe acquiring 1 client from other hosting companies.
let me know what you guys the pros think about this

The best place to get first customers are in your local area, seek out businesses that need web design/ hosting.

Yeah. If your in the US. Craigslist.org is a good place to snag them local customers.

Well first off welcome to the hosting market! Its going to take a lot of time, money, and luck! I would suggest be active in your favorite online communities, google adwords, and your local market.

Lots of forums and web directies have sections specifically for web hosting requests, google some and see what you come up. Craigslist is also great as the other users above have mentioned.
