The cheapest I can find on registering .bz names is about $29. Anyone know of a cheap place? Thanks!

:offtopic: Can I ask you what your interest in a .bz domain is?

Maybe a large company looking to reg all TLDs and ccTLDs OR to use as an imitation of .biz. I dont know but those are my two ideas.

Thanks exasko for a link. I'll check it out soon.

As to my reasons, there are a few domains that would be good for a few interests (primarily, non-commercial) that I'd like to pick up.

I have a reseller account and the pricing for .bz domains is the same for .com/.net, etc. so I'd think you'd be able to find it for around $9. I actually have *one* .bz -betcha can't guess what ;) :D

Lmfao Chicken!!!

Anyhow yeah thgat secureserver.net is the same place as godaddy.com (incase u didnt read the texst at top of page ;)) but anyhow that special wont cut off anytime soon. Their .US special has been running for three months+ if i remember rightly and so they wont reduce the life of their .bz domains.

They run these offers to increase interest and once they hit a predefined benchmark as thought of within the company then they raise prices. (I remember Bob telling me this).

exasko, the link you provided does not work for me. when i use http://www.securepaynet.net/gdshop/, i get the regular godady page - which i can't find .bz on. i see .biz, but i don't see .bz.

anybody got any other links? i've checked about 30 registrars so far and still can't get below $28.88.

As it happens, I just bought a .bz yesterday from Network Solutions (it was the only affordable extension for a domain I've always wanted) for $19. What happened was that when I got to the part of the order that showed the price, I clicked to close the window because I didn't want to pay $35 a year. I got a popup that offered $19 a year for any amount of time from 1 to 5 years if I continued with the registration.

Not all popups are bad popups.

tnt, thanks for the tip. i'll turn off my popup blocker for NetSol's site. :)

I've been trying to make it happen again, but apparently it's a one and done deal. :( I have some other ******** domains I want to register. Best I could get on a popup is 1000 airline miles. Pooh.

But I really did get the $19.00 price:

Domain Name: xxxx.bz
Term: 1 year(s)
Price: $19.00
Exp. Date: 2004-10-05
