I've seen this site posted on some other message boards, I think it's great. Your main page is simply perfect! Excellent choice of colours and white space. It has a complete feeling to it when I look at it :)
Overall the site is very professional, hats off to you for doing some great work and trying to help drive the freelance community.

OK, time to rip it apart... just kidding! :D
General feel is light and airy, and the graphics are well done. It is relaxing and enjoyable to look at. I will however be overly critical about some aesthetic points which you might consider. If you didn't change a thing, it would be okay. Really, as I said, I'm just being overly critical to give you some things to think about that you might want to try.
Overall, I like the use of blue and white for the site, however I do feel that there are too many shades of blue and that those shades do not compliment/match one another. You might want to use a color dropper to pull some of the blues out of the main (large) image and use those shades on the site in various places.
For example, your top horizontal navigation bar (HOME BUY SERVICES...) could be the color of dark blue horizon line in your main graphic and maybe that line could be incorporated with the darker bar with the angle by the graphic and the date (side note: the date being something which I'm not personally fond of).
Your logo square could either be the color of the clouds just above the horizon line or maybe the deep bright blue at the top of the large graphic (just above the woman's outstretched hands).
The bottom bar seems to need a bit of clean up, organization of links and text, and color matching.
The following is just what I'd do, feel free to ignore.
Move "Top 3 Projects" to the cell with the heading "BUY SERVICES" and the text: "Post your project and get competitive bids for..."
Move the SEARCH PROJECTS cell the one above it and make it a horizontal search 'line', rather than a box. Under the search line (so to speak), put the text: "Search projects by keyword, status or both." (no divider needed seperating these).
Under that I'd combine the "Freelancers web-based applications provide..." and "The world's largest pool..." text and graphics into one graphic and text set that covers both ideas. I like the look of the "The world's largest pool..." text and I'd aim for a similar look and feel.
Side by side I'd then put: "Buy Services" and "Exapnd Market Reach" and their text, but give the texts a tiny margin. Seems a bit close to the cell walls.
The as you have it, in the bottom right corner, BUYERS, FREELANCERS, GENERAL, (I like the space around the text in these cells).
As I said (and I want to stress this), it's just what I'd do if I bought the site. it looks nice and I'd just move things around a bit to orgainize the boxes and content differently.
Tested in Mozilla 800x600 56k. Bit slow to load. Menu's don't seem to rollover (although the links do). Right and left frames don't seem to line up at the bottom (are they supposed to?). I don't have Flash installed so I hope those are not menu's. Overall though, a very nice design. Good luck with it.

Looking good. I would maybe make a bolder statement about what the site's purpose is.

I dont think the links are rollover images, its javascript that gets rid of the underlines
Its a nice design but I found that there isn't a real 'focus' on the page. I didn't know where to look and ended up just glancing over the whole thing - I think you need to alter the design to 'channel' the visitors towards the links / features where you want them to go.
