Some of you might see this post as thinly disguised spam but I assure you, I genuinely want some feedback on this issue.
I registered sneer.net a couple of weeks ago and put it on ebay, start bid $19.95. There were no bids in the first couple of days and I wanted a quick turn around so I put a “buy now” price on it of $39.95 and after 5 days, still nothing.
Granted, it isn’t a .com and you personally might not like the name but there is no denying that it is a rare 5-letter dictionary singular noun. How often can you register these? You see dictionary domains ending in “s”, “ed” and “ing” quite often but a singular noun for $39.95! Anyway, I pulled the auction. There is nothing wrong with a bargain, but I was crazy to list it for that price.
I used to make a small but reasonable secondary income reselling domains but gave it up for other interests. I have just started to get involved again. I realise that the domain game isn’t what it was in the late 90s, but my question(s) to you resellers with current knowledge is…
What on earth is going on? Has the domain world gone mad or is it me that has lost the plot?
Thanks
