Hello,
Does anyone know any good programs that I can point to a directory, and make it resize all of the images in that directory to a certain size? I believe this can be done in PhotoShop, but I'm not sure exactly how. I was thinking about writing an action, but I'm not to familiar with actions. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, a great tiny little program which is great for viewing images and playing sound files of most types is:

-it can also easily do what you are asking. It's one of the first things I load on every new computer after I install the OS.

Actions are very easy, just like as if you hit record on a tape recorder and then went through the motions. When done just hit the small black box to STOP recording.

Then go to file> automate> batch and run it from there. Once you have the action stored then you can use it over and over.

Definately use PhotoShop Actions... they're a life saver! If you do it through ImageReady you can make a droplet (exe program that can sit on your hard drive). You can then just drag a file (or multiple selected files) on top of it and it will run the action on those items. Awesome!

Batch thumbs from HarmWare is free and very useful as well. Great for renaming or resizing or reoptimizing images.
