So i was just wondering, what does a USB toothbrush (http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba/hotline/20030222/image/tooth1.html) do exactly? Anyone know?
The USB Toothbrush is excellent! Designed especially for true geeks and HHO addicts who eat at their desk :D
Takes X-Rays of your teeth and secretly sends them to your dentist ;).

Now we are so lazy that we can't even get up just once for brushing our teeth! Where do I get one? :D

I'll take two! :D
It is sad.. but frankly, at my desk i have 7 open USB ports.. my bathroom is about 18 feet away. Give me a USB toothbrush and I'd never get up :D
Who packaged that thing! Looks like cling wrap. Yeah, I wanna put that in my mouth.

ok, I would still have to get up, but it would save me two trips each day :D

How about a USB toilet? :D
Then you only would need a USB microwave and USB refrig. :D

I think it is to recharge the toothbrush.

Yeah, can you imagine ... "I can't flush the toilet right now because Windows has crashed!" ewww!!! :(

OR I can't take a S*** because I am 98 and the toilet is XP.
Besides the toilet needs the latest virus patch installed before it will work correctly. [As Jack O'neal says "... and it flushes sideways."] :D :D :D

You are right about the toothbrushes feature, but chicken's question was "What does a USB toothbrush do?"...:D
Oooh wow imagine a USB Mini fridge, that'd be cool lol.

So it recharges it, eh? I wonder if it won "Most Unlikely Power Source of the Year" award then? I mean, sure you could make a toothbrush that recharges via the 12v cigarette adapter in your car, but... is that where one generally uses and recharges one's rechargeable toothbrush? Unless I'm missing something and in some parts of the world, USB ports are in people's bathrooms???

DUH!
It doesn't do anything - It just sits there.
Ummm, for all those that think it's an actual USB toothbrush - it's not. It's a USB cable saran-wrapped on top of a toothbrush package. Duh :D
P.S. I don't think anyone here really thought it was a usb toothbrush. Really. ;)

Absolutely right, we know this is a hoax.
What we haven't uncovered is who leaked the information allowing Rainbow to get the free publicity. There are only 1000 actual USB Toothbrushes available. These are currently undergoing Beta Testing for Ronco Labs. Expected release pending Beta Test approval is Oct 15 2003, just prior to the Christmas rush. :D

But is it USB 2.0 compliant???? :D
hmm I wonder if on the USB Toilet if you could save your dumbs to the favorites section. haha
I could actually see myself using one...on long road trips where it's a few hours (or days) between long stops...just plug it into your laptop (and therefor the 12v of the car) and presto, one charged powered toothbrush...
But then again, the old manual kind works...just wouldn't be as geeky cool..
