DotEasy?

Does anyone know about "doteasy.com"? They're offering 20mb storage, 1gb traffic, 10 emails, etc. for $0. They claim no banners nor ads. They charge $25/year for registration of com, net, org. More for us and biz, etc.

What's the catch, anyone know?

Doteasy provides free basic hosting and email services to all customers for the duration of the domain registration period purchased through Doteasy. Customers who register domain names through other service providers may also have the option of receiving Doteasy services, without any term restriction, upon the payment of the one-time $35.00 transfer hosting fee (see Section 3).

Well .. if you would assume the people @ doteasy do not work for free there, they somehow need to pay for their servers, bandwidth etc, the 0$ hosting fee seems a little low to cover that. There will most probably be some sort of other charges (domain, transfer, extra traffic, extra space, etc)

My cousin used to host with Dot Easy. When he tried to transfer his domain away, the refused for about two months (They had their email address in the domain name contact, and wouldn't change it no matter how many times we asked. When we finally called NetSol (they resell domain services of Network Solutions) and logged a complaint, they changed the contact information...but by that point it was too late to transfer the domain away.

If you don't mind saying, what made you decide to leave doteasy?

i would prefer to go with a host who provides free domain hosting which measn thats u dont have ta pay for it
