I am highly interestred in utilizing übersmith for my company's client support and billing needs. I also fancy the several levels of access you can setup for users as well as its ability to e-mail clients when a server goes down for server maintenance and whatnot automatically.

Now my question is, are there any users of übersmith here at HostHideout? What are your opinions about the product?

The software works great but the documentation stinks. Also the API is a pain to integrate since there are no docs.

Although their support is top notch.

API is pretty easy to integrate.. I know they are busily creating a full set of docs, but there have been so many new features added recently that they can't write fast enough.

I have used Ubersmith for more than one company for over 18 months and have also tried/tested many of the alternative applications during that time, and for something as important as billing and support, I wouldn't consider anything else now.

Used to irk me having the thing remotely hosted, but it's 100% available and actually much more effective and safe than having it on your own boxes.
