Hello everybody!
I'd like to ask the community if anybody would use a live chat system with all major instant messaging networks (MSN, AIM, YIM, ICQ) support?
The user will see your contact details in every network on your contacts page, choose the network he is familiar with and send you a message via his favourite IM client (e.g. GAIM or Trillian or WLM). All incoming and outgoing messages are tracked, you can see full history, assign different support engineers to different requests, see what this user has asked before, which issues have been resolved, create filtering and autoresponders, etc.
This will be a mixture of support over regular IM and using full scale live chat systems. It lets users use the instant messengers they like to get in touch with you. And at the same time you're able to handle all requests in a single robust, smart and easy to use system.
Would such a solution be interesting for you?

It would be easier just to opt for a live chat program. What is a customer as none of those programs?
Try chatstat! it's free, supports live online chat and messenger systems. Also has a calback system so when you aren't online your visitors can leave a number on which they can be contacted.

We are using liveperson (http://www.liveperson.com) for our website m2mhost (http://www.m2mhost.com). This integrated hosted application is working great for us and we do not need to go for messenger services.

Hi,
We use Kayako Live response and it is a good program. We haven't experianced any problems with it since we started using it.

We had considered ChatStat - being that I was one of the first to bring the attention of this great program to the hosting industry. (pats self on back)
The program on a free basis is great - however - when you start adding some of the paid for features - the prices begins to climb quickly and your now even or above the cost of other providers like ProvideSupport.
So - ultimately we forfeited going with ChatStat.
What we use now is Trillian and ProvideSupport. It works amazingly for us.

This does sound interesting, but is it able to support the logging of all the conversations?
We face a problem with generic MSN conversations, where many promises or agreements go unrecorded and we're now turning back to the conventional email support as the main channel.

Trillian allows you to log conversations. ChatStat does too but it's a paid feature I believe.
