Hello everyone!

Is it worth the investment, purchasing DemoDemo tutorials? What are your experiences?

Thank you

Vito is a great guy. And his flash animations are top notch, unfortunately, my clients prefer to speak to us about questions and How To's, rather than watch the pretty show and read our Faq.

Greetings:

We've purchased a number of DemoDemo.com tutorials.

Each one quality done, and well worth the investment.

Thank you.

Dont buy it. Go to RoboDemo.com and buy the program, for 350 I believe it is now. DemoDemo is just RoboDemos that are overpriced.

edit: only 299 in August!

Kris, I think some of us value our time more than that. Vito makes excellent demos that are well thought out and made. It would cost us much more in man hours just to think of the best way to do each action, let alone make the demos.

Hmmm... Not so sure :P

I'm currently running the trial/demo version. Just click start, do whatever you want to make a tutorial of, click stop, use the built-in functionality to neaten up the timing, mouse pointers, etc. (this will even allow you to change the speed that you typed things in, etc.), add a first and last frame with your company logo (so others don't steal your work) and you're done. I made a perfectly good tutorial on how to do all the email functions (create/edit/remove accounts, forwarders, catch-all, filtering, auto-responders, etc.) each with their own captions and each looking perfect in ~1 hour.

For a host just starting out (like me) who wants flash tutorials and has a few hours a day on his hands (like me), RoboDemo is the way to go simply because of the cost of DemoDemo and the fact that you can make tutorials exactly how you want them, easily and quickly.

Just my 2p...

<<EDIT>>
I am not, in any way, trying to suggest that Vito is a bad guy. He is great, his tutorials are great, and he has many satisfied customers. I'm just saying that if you have the time, it's really not as hard as Chet seems to think it is.

Thank you

That's where opportunity cost plays in...

In the one hour you spent making one tutorial, you could be making hundreds of dollars doing something else, and get 20 tutorials, that's 20 hours of work, from Vito for only $99.95.

Excactly, mPowerHost I think you misunderstand how valuable my time is. $100 for 23 demos created and delivered? $100/23= $4.34 an hour at the absolute best saying each one takes an hour. Sorry, but I make more than $4.34 an hour.

I guess I could have written my own trouble ticket system as well, guess Kayako is a rip-off?

That's 5 tutorials, not 1.

And I wasn't saying that your time isn't valuable. I said I have the time to spare. If I have the time to spare I may as well do it.

Simple

It took me about 7 minutes to make each tutorial. They are very easy.

We are also selling them to our resellers for 39.95, with all HostDime logos removed, and theirs added at the beginning and end. I doubt people other than our resellers would want them, as they are created with the custom Cpanel skin I made: http://demo:demo@acela.cybernj.net:2082

Demodemo.com stuff is way over priced if you ask me. He should be charging half the price.

Yes. I think the same. And I also think it would get him more sales. RoboDemo is so easy to use though, seriously, it's not worth it at all.

RoboDemo might be easy to use but at almost 400$ (according to the site I was looking at I saw the special price of 299$) Id rather pay someone else to do it and free me up to run my Biz ....I spent 45$ for 24 CP Tutorials and 4 Client Exec ones..for me it was worth it
