PerlDesk is a pretty good support application. It's been awhile since I've even had the need to use it but it was good back then too. :)

I have also worked on PerlDesk couple of years and performed its installation on plenty of server , It was the most convenient and easy to use helpdesk... I loved it. But the way kayako and cerberus have launched them back ,I feel there is lot more Perldesk needs to do.
All the Best !!

ThinkSupport,
Yea..I agree with you..Kayako and Cerebrus really did take the spotlight off perldesk..last time I checked Perldesk it only had a small developer team. Kayako and Cerebrus on the other hand are major players.

Logicnow, Perldesk and John Bennet are scum. I paid for the enterprise version. 500 dollars I paid. I got nothing. I called the company everyday and only got voicemail. I emailed 3 times and no response. Finally, I made a claim with paypal and suddenly they got back to me. I told the I was unable to download their product despite having paid.
Their response was to say sorry, you can download it now. Well, it was too late for me. I had been trying to get in contact with someone for 4 days.
I told them no, I didnt want their software, and wanted a full refund. Well, it isn't actually a refund is it? I refund would be if I had actually gotten something.
I got nothing. This company basically stole my money. I have a claim with paypal. We will see what happens.
I have ordered the domains logicnowsux.com and perdesksux.com and I will be building a monument to commemorate their poor decision to steal my money.

Im actually thinking of buying a PerlDesk license, but don't know if it is as great as it seems as i've also heard bad things about PerlDesk :S Most of them say PerlDesk has many random bugs and errors... Is this true or just a myth..?

I have used perldesk for 7 years now with no major problems and their support is quite helpful. But if I had to do it all over again I think I would have preferred kayako. Even after customizing perldesk I don't really care for its appearance.
