Advertising is always a hard point for an online business how to advertise who with where etc!

We already have our own method of search engine advertising which works very well however we are looking to maximise this expsoure can someone tell us how they advertise where and what you would reccomened?

Any help and advice would be greatfully appreciated

Sumbit to as many directories as you can , put the signature in every forum you visit...

Submit articles, press releases that will have links to your site.

You can try using google adwords, but I will warn you that with google adwords unless you have a massive budget you wont see much ROI.

I would recommend the hosting directories. Submitting yourself to as many directories as possible and running showcases in a few can definitely help get some traffic your way.

Submit your web site to as many directories as possible, look for companies that submit your web site to directories :)

There are many ways to advertise an online business. Here is a short list that I have come up with to advertise my own sites.

Free Advertising


Directory Submissions (if you do it yourself)
Signiture links in Forums
Posting offers in Forums
Social Sites (i.e. Digg, Reddit, etc...)


Paid Advertising


Directory Submission Services (I only work with manual directory submission services)
Buying Text Links (look in the links sales sections on webmaster forums)
Buying Signiture Links in Forums
PPC (google adwords, etc...) - This can get expensive until you learn the ropes and tricks.

I think the best way is to use the free forums - keep posting and using the advertising forums there.

Look at FREE ads options before spending $$ at adwords and other ppc ads.
There are lot of forums and directories which offers free posting offers.

I second you on this. These are the best method which been tested and proved to be very successful for everyone.IMO select the appropriate method that suits you and start doing things to generate more from these tips.

how about trying to post ads on magazines, daily newpapers or plugging in radio station if you want to target your local or your country.

So far, posting on forums proved to be the best free advertisement method.
