Hi everyone... I am going to make an excellent support ticket system very soon. I think that support ticket systems are definitely used most alongside web hosting, so I ask all of you hosting providers for help.

Please let me know of all the features you feel this product should include!

With the abundance of free and pay for support systems already widely available on the net. I think you should save your time, energy and yourself frustration and use someone else's support system or think up another software product to make a buck.

I havn't found any free ones written in PHP that rival PerlDesk, got any links?

Maybe you should stray away from the helpdesk and look to creating a Knowledgebase. Their are excellent ones out there that you can pay for, but I have yet to find a decent free one.

Velostream: I am interested in creating a commercial app, and yes there are already quite a few (some very good) knowledgebases...

Do you have any suggestions for a script that maybe there aren't too many commercially available ones?

My suggestion would be to think of a new product that fulfills a need that has not been previously fulfilled. If you can do that and make a solid product to back it up you will have a money-maker every time. I know that isn't easy but it's worth it.
