UK Merchant accounts

is there any decent ones with relativley good % rates- like 3% ish?

US ones seem best but I cannot go US due to being int heUK :O

Hi,

Have you looked at Protx (http://www.protx.com) they charge a flat fee of 20gbp per month for upto 1000 transactions per quarter over that they charge 10pence per transaction.

I suppose what it should say is it's 60gbp for upto 1000 transactions for 3 months.

I haven't used them but I have them at the top of my list when I get card payments/merchant account sorted.

Worldpay (http://www.worldpay.co.uk) is based in the UK... We've never had any problems with them.

The setup fee is steep... and there's a yearly fee on top of that... but the discount rates are really low and if you process enough in a month it's actually cheaper...
