Has anyone used Etecc.net for hosting services before? If so what was your experience? I'm considering purchasing a number of dedicated servers from them and I haven't been able to find reviews of the company anywhere.

I have been using etecc for about 6 months now. It's ran by one guy named Derek M.

He does not own his own servers. He's a reseller for www.ev1servers.net. It wouldn't be so bad if he actually knew something about servers.

His customer service is horrible and I would not recommend etecc if that was the only hosting left on earth.

My site was down once for more than three days. And other times it was down for up to 5 hours.

If you seriously want dedicated servers, you might as well go directly to www.ev1servers.net.

wow! first post, a thread nearly a year old! you had to dig for that for a while! surely etecc.net can't be so bad that you can't find something more recent... (sorry for all those negatives...)

better luck with the next one (I'm glad to tell you etecc.net isn't the only hosting left on earth) :)

I didn't dig for this thread. I found it through a search engine.

I think that a hosting service isn't anything without good customer service. I don't recall a time when he answered any of my inquiries.

I've learned my lesson. I guess it's true when they say you get what you pay for.

Better IMHO if you started a new thread.

<<ADMIN NOTE: IMHO when the thread is this small, it's not an issue to have old info and new info together. Not much difference in having information in one place verses two, other than having to look through two threads..>>

I sympathize with your predicament nunyaB

I am sorry to hear that your experience was a negative one with us "nunyaB".

Just for the record we do not rent servers from Ev1. We own our servers and take great pride in the quality of service we provide. And as you can see at WebHostingStuff (http://www.webhostingstuff.com/company/*****WebHosting.html)we current have outstanding uptime for the last 500 days.

Please also take a moment to look over some of the reviews we have on our web site, and at WebHostingStuff. Clearly "nunyaB"'s experience was an isolated one.
