no organisation can keep its digital products secure, mainly due to the introduction to fraud credit cards in which many people use this happened to us three times and paypal support them by sending the funds back which i grant is the correct solution however is very unfair on the seller.
If anyone knows of a way getting passed this then let me know, because even with something like 2checkout when the protection against that country is applied anyone can go into the bank and say i did not recieve this product so i request my money back and the bank will grant it, provided the correct information is provided.
thanks

I will suggest you to report this to kayako support, at least they can find a solution to this problem. I will say its not really there fault as its really very very difficult to complete secure such product.

Hostroyal,
Having a script offered publically doesn't suddenly mean it's not 'secure'. It simply means that someone can unencode just about everything in 15 minutes or less.
The same occurs with vBulletin and just about every popular script. Nulled scripts seem to be popular but anyone partaking of them (espescially on a corporate level) is in for a nasty surprise when they get caught and permanently banned from using the script by the providers.
That is why we like to offer hosted solutions only. I think you should tell the kayako.

Warez is a huge issue in the hosting industry, although there are ways to prevent it. Kayako and Modern Bill seem to be the two most pirated hosting related scripts. Luckily for clientexec, that is one of the only script that I have not yet seen pirated. Only time will tell untill they share (sell) their secrets. ;)

What is the point of this thead?
If you are aware of Warez versions of Kayako why would you have any questions as to whether or not to report it?
Of course you should report it.
This has nothing to do with Kayako's ability to keep its stuff secure. There is no such thing as uncrackable software.
I dont see what the big issue is really. I still own the the source to Edge Panel HD. When I had it going it just called home to the server to verify itself. When there was invalid verification it informed the site owner and didnt allow them in to their admin area. Simple..
There is also this mind set that if you have an app and build it in PHP that as a company you shouldnt encode and protect what you have built. That the source should be made available to the public.
So, dont use Ioncube, dont encode and these things happen. It really is a simple fix.
Kayoko is zen encoded. That is not a reliable protection any more.
Just like everything else, the more you protect it the more the hackers will try to crack it.
Call homes are simple to bypass. Apparently, so now are zen encoded and ion cube encoded files.

Definetly report him to kayako, they should take care of the problem. Also, I would recommend to steer far away from the warez part of the net.... nothing but trouble there.

ironically thats my background and how I started all my websites so I pay some tribute to the good old warez days however the current days sem to be borring and indeed trouble, just a bunch of little kids who want things they can't buy.

Yup, Kayako is very expensive indeed! I spent a good amount for the live support suite license, but its all worth it!
Its just sad that now a day anything is possible to get online for FREE.

Basically how i see it is the best option at the momment is having ther files on a remote server meannign that the user will onyly recieve this type of code where the rest is on the server or a remote server.
$clienturl=$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'];
$url="http://www.domain.com/index.php_data";
$a=file_get_contents($url);
eval($a);
and on index.php_data it will have this
include("tyyert.php");
Which will include the real code so its inpossible to Hack but still a good way to improve the security for php products.

Anything isn't secure and scripts aren't part of another world. Soon, or later, IOncube would also be decoded easily.
The internet is full of pirated scripts and you just can't do anything except repoting them.
Sad these days, everything is pirated

these apps 'Phone Home' and you will find yourself stuck in a deep hole before you know it. If you're making enough money from your business, buy the software otherwise use open-source software until you can afford what you want. make sense?

Exactly, some of this Open Source software is just as good as the Commercial software, sometimes even better. Before when I just started I used open source software and my customers were just as happy then when using a trial of commercial software.
As for reporting piracy, you should always do it. I wouldn't hesitate. If you paid the money for that software, someone else should be able to get it for free cause they don't want to pay for it.

Tell kayoko, that is what I would have done once the person told it to me.
